I'm Anshuman, a software engineer from India. For the longest time, I've struggled with keeping up with my habits. After reading Atomic Habits by James Clear, I understood the importance of small habits and how small changes add up to big results.
One quote about habits and every day actions that stuck:
You can only improve what you measure.
So, my "maximizer-ass" went on a spree to find the perfect app for the task. I tried a lot of apps, but none of them worked for me. Every time I'd get sidetracked by the features, and forget the actual reason I was using the app. I wanted something that was simple, easy to use and most importantly, something that I would use myself.
I wanted something that was simple, easy to use and most importantly, something that I would use myself. I note down what is the minimum that I need to do for this. And that's how Habit Journal was born.
My philosophy with habit tracking is simple: think of it as a journal. Write once a day, and that's it.
Do so for a month and you'll see patterns. Do it for a quarter and you'll see trends. Do it for a year and you'll see your life change.
You do, if you agree with any of the following:
Remember: You can only improve what you measure
I really don't know. I didn't make the app with this idea in mind. I just wanted to build something that I would use myself. It doesn't cost me anything to keep it up, apart from the domain name.
If this app grows beyond 5,000 users, I'll have to pay bills for it, and then I'll probably start thinking about monetization. We will cross that bridge when we get there. :)
Rest assured, it'd be free for you if you signed up when it was free. You can however, support me with a GitHub sponsorship.
